Grooming Prices & Services

Grooming prices vary for a very simple reason - the amount of time and the skill it takes to provide your pet with a quality grooming experience. it isn't just about the size of your dog; in fact, sometimes smaller dogs that require meticulous work will take longer and therefore cost more.

Ultimutt Doggie Designs takes into consideration the breed, age, size, length and condition of the coat, cooperation of your pet and the service required.

My base price is $35.00 and I charge by the service provided. Extra charges above the price range listed may be applied for: Larger than breed standards, thicker than normal coat, matting, tick or fleas, ill behaved pets and/or their owners. (:

The following pricing guidelines will give you a better idea of the cost. Once I meet with your dog, I can commit to a specific price.

Small-medium short haired: $35.00
Small Hairies that need haircuts: $35 - $40.00

Medium short haired: $35.00 - $40.00
Medium hairies needing haircuts: $40 - $50.00

Large short haired: $40.00 - $50.00
Large hairies needing haircuts: $45 - $75.00

Extra Large short haired: $50.00-$60.00
Extra Large Hairies/haircuts: $50.00-$100.00

Cocker Spaniels: $45.00 - $55.00 (depending
on coat - cockers take longer to dry)
Bichon Frise- $45.00 - $55.00
Standard Poodles: $50.00 - $75.00

These prices are based on regular 8 week grooming schedules. Overgrown or matted coats require additional time. I will only dematt for 15 minutes. I will not hurt your pet...if I feel I cannot get the matts out without undue pain - your pet will be clipped down very short and we can start the hair growing process again. Remember hair DOES grow back. I don't like the looks of a short "doo" so I will do my best to make them look their best.

Your pet's grooming visit will include two massaging bathes with an all natural (earth & pet friendly) high quality shampoo appropriate for your pet's needs. Refreshing blueberry facial scrub, quality coat conditioner, towel dried followed by a high velocity dryer to get out undercoat, this also helps with shedding. Once dried, a full body brush out to remove excess hair and tangles to encourage healthier skin and coat growth. Groomed w/ Andis Clippers and scissor cut to complete the groom. Finally a nail trim and polish up nails so they aren't rough. Ears cleaned and checked. A spritz of cologne, finished up with a bandanna or bow.

Additional Services:

Flea/Tick Treatment: $10.00

Extensive DeShedding: $10.00 (small dogs) to $20.00 (Large Dogs)
(I use a special deshedding tool, shampoo, conditioner and alot of brushing)

Sugar Scrubs: $10.00
A natural, gentle exfoliant that unclogs pores and provides a deep clean.

Deskunking: $10.00

DeMatting longer than 15 minutes: $5.00 per additional 15 minutes..(I will only do this if I feel your pet is up to it)
